CAAOC Spring Hike — Buck Gully Newport Beach

SPRING HIKE — BUCK GULLY NEWPORT BEACH
Sunday, April 22nd at 10:00 AM

Here’s an opportunity to join your fellow Cornellians for a refreshing hike in a little known corner of Newport Beach.  This trail is 2.5 miles in and 2.5 miles out, and is accessible year round.  Buck Gully Reserve is a natural, coastal canyon in the City of Newport Beach.  Spring is a good time for this hike as the trail follows a natural stream bed, plus it's nice when the hills are green and alive after the Spring rains.  This unique hike offers a different side of Newport Beach, looking up to the homes of Newport Coast and out across Corona del Mar to the ocean beyond!

Gather family and friends, RSVP with Harris Hunt ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ), and we’ll see you there!

Start Time: Arrive at the trailhead by 9:45 AM, we will depart promptly at 10:00 AM.

Meeting Location: We will meet at the lower trailhead on Poppy Avenue in Corona del Mar.

Directions:
MacArthur Blvd. towards Corona del Mar

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

The Holidays are upon us so let’s get together and celebrate! Hope to see you at our November 28th Cornell Alumni Mixer!

Our friends at The Resort at Pelican Hill Newport Beach have invited us to use the Great Room Social Lounge to gather and give one last Hail to our Alma Mater, Cornell. Since it is the holidays, we encourage everyone to wear their best (or ugliest) Holiday Sweater. Feel free to arrive a little bit early, as a live vocalist typically performs from 5-7pm. Pelican Hill has also extended their $5 at 5 p.m. wine special throughout the evening exclusively for us.

I look forward to seeing everyone on the 28th.

Perched upon 504 acres of unrivaled coastal beauty, Pelican Hill® is set apart as a world unto itself, offering a feast for the senses and a holiday retreat for family and friends. You’ve never gathered in the Great Room quite like this.
