Come join your fellow Cornellians as we indulge in the gently-spiced yet full-flavored coming all the way from Morocco.  We have arranged a special price fixed menu that is sure to delight and excite! Gather your friends, purchase your tickets below, and we’ll see you there!

Event Description: A fixed, three-course dinner consisting of Turkish favorites.

The Prix-Fixe Dinners Are Served With:
Bread Freshly Baked
Soup (Harira) Vegetables soup with lentils, tomatoes and garbanzo beans.
Salads are Three Traditional Moroccan Salads:
One with marinated eggplant
Second with tomatoes and cucumbers
Third with delightfully spiced carrots

Bastilla Filo dough stuffed with chicken, eggs and almonds baked and covered with.Powdered sugar and cinnamon.

Dessert Fresh Mint Tea and Homemade Baklava.

Marrakesh Mixed Grilled Traditional Feast
Grilled Shrimp, Chicken and Filet mignon kabobs served on a bed of Moroccan Couscous covered with vegetables
$35.00 per person + 18% Tip

Vegetarian Option: 
Grilled vegetables kabob over couscous grape leaves and cooked vegetables

Cornell O.C. Temecula Wine Tour

This time, we’re doing something a little familiar, and a little bit different.

 

Cornell Alumni Association of Orange County invites you for a casual afternoon wine tasting…in Temecula. Temecula Valley is Southern California's Wine Country. With award winning wines, great restaurants and beautiful gift shops, Temecula Valley Wineries have something for everyone. And we're so close you can taste it!

 

We have partnered with Winery Hopper to bring you from Orange County to Temecula and back. We invite you to park your car at the Lincoln Lot Park & Ride located at: 2555 N Tustin St, Orange CA 92855

 

The goal is to visit 3 wineries while taking in Temecula’s beautiful scenery.

·        Traveling NORTH on the 55, exit Lincoln Ave. West. Make 2 lefts, go under the freeway and take a left onto Tustin Ave. heading South.

·        If you're traveling SOUTH on the 55, exit Lincoln and make a left on Tustin. The Park & Ride will be on your left hand side. You'll need to make a U-Turn to get to this side of the street.

Please join us for a delicious menu of  chicken shui mai, dumplings of all kinds, pork buns, potstickers, mango pudding, jasmine tea and more.

 

Located in Culver Plaza in Irvine, Sam Woo Seafood Restaurant offers a no-frills, true-to-authentic dim sum experience. All our guests will have good food, warm tea and most of all, the company of your fellow Cornellians.

CORNELL OC — SUMMER LOBSTER BOIL AND CLAMBAKE


Saturday, August 11th at 5:30 PM
 

 

What:  Enjoy a typical New England Clambake with Cornell Alumni from across Orange County.  We will be steaming live clams and boiling live lobsters as part of this fun outdoor summer feast.  Starts at 5:30, Dinner at 7:00 and Dessert at 8:00 just after sunset and with the moonset.

Cost:  $50.00 per person which includes an entire lobster (or a generous steak).

Where:  This event is hosted by Harris & Linda Hunt at their home in Lake Forest.

For our next luncheon, our accomplished guest speaker will be Mr. Jason Mednick, Managing Consultant at ROC Group, an employee communications firm that specializes in change management and HR programs.

Jason and his company believe there's an art and science to being heard and achieving lasting change, and they apply neuroscience, behavior design and storytelling science to what they do. Jason will share some of these insights, as they can be applied both in the business world as well as to everyday life. He will also discuss how the new approaches to Human Resources impact the relationships between several generations who all come from different employment environments and converge in today's workplace.

Jason Mednick specializes in developing and implementing innovative global change management and communication solutions for a variety of business strategy, human capital, total rewards, HR technology and M&A challenges.
Jason’s clients and professional experiences span the biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical, grocery retail, healthcare, higher education, consumer packaged goods and manufacturing industries. He is currently a managing consultant at ROC Group, an organizational communications firm, and his previous professional experience includes Mercer, The Orange County Register, UC Irvine and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

He holds a BA from the College of Arts & Sciences at Cornell University (‘04), and master's degrees from USC in Business Administration and Journalism. He is a certified Prosci change management practitioner and holds a certificate in The Foundations of NeuroLeadership from the NeuroLeadership Institue (NLI).
